UCLA sets Culture confab
UCLA's Center for the Study of Popular Culture and the Wednesday Morning Group are sponsoring an all-day media conference Saturday at Walt Disney Studios.
Titled "Changing Environments: Culture, Politics, Technology," event will have several industry leaders in attendance from all sides of the business. Speakers include Senate Commerce Committee chairman Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Sen. Fred Thompson (R-Tenn.). Industry execs scheduled to participate include former Fox and CBS exec and current America Online general counsel George Vradenburg and veteran industry exec and North Hall Prods. producer Gary Nardino.
