Granada channels the world

LONDON --- Granada Media Group has unveiled plans for its first international channel, Granada U.K. TV, which will be targeted at India and the Middle East.
Granada has struck a deal to launch the channel Wednesday via Star TV's satellite platform. It will be a 24-hour general entertainment service drawing from the libraries of Granada's two ITV stations, Granada TV and LWT.
In India, Granada U.K. TV will be part of Star's new digital package, ISkyB, which will carry 40 channels. In the Middle East it will be part of the existing Star Select platform.
