Ben Smith has been promoted to motion picture literary agent at ICM. Smith, who joined ICM in 1994, had worked for ICM's David Wirtschafter and Robert Newman. Before that, he worked as a development assistant at Launa Newman-Minson Prods. Entertainment.

Michael Van Dyck, former head of the TV and literary department at the Agency, has joined Major Clients Agency as a TV-feature lit agent.

John Ortiz, cast in DreamWorks' "Amistad," has signed with Nancy Sanders and Mark Armstrong at Sanders Management.

Eileen Davidson and Frederic Forrest have signed with Michael Wallach Management.
