Cine Visions, ICE team up

Former Carolco Pictures CEO Peter Hoffman is merging his CineVisions financial consulting business with Graham Bradstreet's London-based ICE Media.

One of the company's first transactions will be to raise $500 million in Germany on behalf of Spelling Films.

The new pic and media financing firm will be known as CineVisions ICE and will have offices in London and Los Angeles.

The announcement formalizes an existing relationship between Hoffman and Bradstreet.

During the last year, the two have been instrumental in raising capital for clients such as Paramount Pictures, Phoenix Pictures, MGM, MDP Worldwide and J&M Film Sales.

CineVisions ICE is separate from Hoffman's Seven Arts Pictures, which has a deal with Paramount, but the investment boutique may work in concert with the production company, Hoffman said.

Among Seven Arts' productions is "Progenitor," a $40 million sci-fi thriller from writer-director Patrick Read Johnson. MDP Worldwide is handling overseas sales in a continuing relationship between Hoffman and Mark Damon's MDP.
