U taps Reith VP of financial unit

Asbury Communications has put Paige Parsons in the new post of director of live entertainment and special projects. Parsons will head up PR, promotional and marketing activities for Asbury, including areas of film, TV, broadcast and stage.

Hudson Hickman has been named VP of MGM Worldwide Television Group's newly created post-production department. Hickman, who has been a consultant to MGM TV since 1994, will oversee editing and other post matters for MGM, as well as negotiating facilities deals.

Stacy Lifton has been bumped up to VP of business and legal affairs at Fox Kids Worldwide. Joining the kid cabler in February as business affairs director, Lifton will negotiate development, production and acquisition of programming for FKW. She'll also ramrod deals for sister outfit Fox Family Channel.

John Buckholtz has been appointed manager of Northeastern sales for Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution. Buckholtz, who is based in New York, comes to Warner Bros. after five years as a sales exec with MTM Television Distribution.

Bell-Phillip TV Prods. international syndication wing BBL Distribution has named Ron Weaver VP of operations and administration. Handling international sales, broadcast operations, marketing, publicity and promotion for "The Bold and the Beautiful," Weaver joined B-P TV in 1986.
