'Dance' spins $7 mil refund

SYDNEY --- Nearly A$10 million ($7 million) will be returned to almost 140,000 Celtic dance fans in Australia and New Zealand after "Lord of the Dance" star Michael Flatley collapsed Nov. 27, forcing the cancellation of more than 18 performances in Brisbane, Melbourne and Auckland.

Although Flatley, who has been battling bronchial asthma problems for months, has been forced to cancel the remainder of his Oz tour, he is expected to perform the European part of his tour beginning in January.

The American-born Flatley came to world attention as the lead dancer in "Riverdance," before falling out with that show's producers over money and developing his own highly successful show, "Lord of the Dance."
