'Day' series dawns at Eye on People

NEW YORK --- CBS Eye on People, the fledgling cable network, has commissioned a new weekly half-hour series called "A Day in the Life," which will follow everyone from a stagehand at Radio City Music Hall to an Alaskan bush doctor.

The co-creators of the series are Bill Baker, president of the New York PBS TV station WNET, and his brother Larry Baker, a cameraman who has spent 30 years at the NBC station in Cleveland. Bill Baker's daughter Christiane Baker will serve as exec in charge of the series for Henry Island Prods.
