Casting Society taps Artios Award winners
The awards were given for casting excellence in 12 categories, including feature films, pilots, MOWs, daytime and episodic comedy.
The Artios winners were:
Feature film, drama: Francine Maisler, Jo Doster (location casting), "The People vs. Larry Flynt."
Feature film, comedy: Howard Feuer, "That Thing You Do."
Animated voiceover: Ruth Lambert, "The Hunchback of Notre Dame."
Miniseries: Julie Selzer, Patrick Rush, Lynne Carrow (location casting), "Truman Capote's 'In Cold Blood.' "
Movie of the week: Linda Lowy, "Bastard Out of Carolina."
Dramatic pilot: Nan Dutton, Jane Alderman (location casting), "EZ Streets."
Comedy, episodic: Jeff Greenburg, "Frasier."
Drama, episodic: John Levey, "ER."
Comedy pilot: Bonnie Finnegan, "Spin City."
Soaps: Sonia Nikore, "One Life to Live."
Theater, musical: Arnold Mungioli, Mark Simon, "Ragtime, The Musical."
Theater, drama/comedy: Jay Binder, "The Last Night at Ballyhoo."
A special presentation of the Hoyt Bowers Award went to Juliet Taylor for outstanding contributions to the casting profession. Director and producer Roger Corman received the CSA's Lifetime Achievement Award.
