"Rugrats --- A Live Adventure" is described as "a full-scale theatrical/musical production." It's skedded to tour North America beginning at the Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, Conn., and making stops in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., Boston, Chicago, Toronto, Houston and New York City.

Show will be directed and choreographed by Danny Herman, whose credits include a national tour of "Dreamgirls." Arlene Klasky and Gabor Csupo, who along with Paul Germain created the top-rated Nickelodeon series, are slated to serve as creative consultants on the stage show.

Live production will feature 22 actor-dancer-singers who will portray both the "Rugrats" regulars and a cast of more than 30 characters.

A "Rugrats" feature film is being readied by Nickelodeon Movies for a Thanksgiving 1998 release.
