Scott joins 'Court' as exec producer

Former talkshow producer David Scott has been named executive producer of Warner Bros. Domestic TV Distribution's upcoming remake of "The People's Court."

Scott most recently worked as executive producer of King World's now-canceled talkshow "Rolonda." Before that, he was a producer on "Donahue," and he spent six years at "Geraldo."

Scott will share the executive producer title with Stu Billett, whose company is heading up production of the new series with Ed Koch as presiding judge.

"The People's Court" will debut this fall on most of the NBC O&Os and stations from the LIN TV Corp. The show has been sold to a total of 132 stations reaching 86% of the country.
