Fox/Liberty filling ranks

In the first of a series of organizational restructuring moves, Fox/Liberty Networks has named three Fox executives to new corporate posts.

The promotions find Richard Battista being upped to executive VP, Fox/Liberty Networks, and head of Fox Sports Intl.; Angela Morton getting appointed senior VP, network development, Fox/Liberty Nets; and John Honeycutt being tabbed as VP of production operations for Fox Sports Net.

Battista, who was senior VP of Fox Sports Intl. and G.M. of Fox Sports Americas, will now oversee day-to-day business of the entire Fox Sports Intl. division, including Fox Sports Americas, Fox Sports Brazil (to be launched third quarter '97) and the company's 50% ownership interest in Fox Sports Australia.

Morton, a 12-year News Corp. veteran, is responsible for developing operational directives for Fox/Liberty Networks' national cable TV entities, Fox Sports Net and FX. She was formerly a VP of on-air presentation for the Net.

Honeycutt is in charge of the development and distribution of on-air promotions for regional and national programming appearing on the Net.
