Showtime pic 'Faith' set to roll
Film is slated to shoot in and around New York City and Toronto locations.
Written by Frank Military, "Blind Faith" is a suspense thriller set in 1956. It tells the fictional story of an African-American attorney who is confronted by racism on all sides after agreeing to defend his adolescent nephew on a charge of murdering a white peer. Vance portrays the attorney, Dutton his older brother.
Military penned the script in response to the racially motivated murder of Yusef Hawkins in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, in 1989.
Dickerson recently directed the feature "Bulletproof" for Universal and "Juice" for Paramount. He has also worked as director of photography on the Spike Lee films "Do the Right Thing" and "Malcolm X."
