Trimark's 'Dream' helmer: Cimino

Michael Cimino, Oscar-winning director of "The Deer Hunter," is attached to direct Trimark Pictures' "The Dreaming Place." The pic, which is in the early stages of development, will be a male vigilante story, along the lines of Paramount's "Eye for an Eye." Rodney Vaccaro is writing the screenplay under the supervision of Cimino, and Jonathon Komack Martin will exec produce.

Company execs would not state the pic's budget, other than to say the amount "is in excess of what we normally do."
