CineVox, Iris team on special effects

German group CineVox Entertainment and Luxembourg-based Iris Prods. are joining forces in the areas of special effects-driven fiction and animation.

CineVox, which has production sites in Munich, Potsdam, Paris and Los Angeles, is a partner in digital studio HDO in Oberhausen. CineVox president Dieter Geissler has produced pics such as "The Neverending Story," "Pinocchio" and "Jungle Book II." Iris produces and distributes live-action and animated pics for children.

CineVox and Iris have agreed to cooperate in creating 2-D 3-D animation and special effects, and will share studio spaces for film and TV productions in Germany and Luxembourg. Together with partners in Europe and the U.S., CineVox-Iris expects to produce three to four full-length feature films and four to five animated films and series over the next several years.
