Linda Elstad
A native Angeleno, Elstad graduated from Hollywood High and UCLA.
She was a staff writer on "One Day at a Time," "Dallas," and "Call to Glory."
During her 20-year membership in the Writers Guild, Elstad served on the board of directors from 1986 to 1990.
As an active Writers Guild Foundation board trustee from 1989-1997, she was instrumental in organizing the Russian Writers Exchange, whereby American screenwriters traveled to Russia in 1990 and Russian screenwriters visited the U.S. in 1991.
Elstad is survived by a brother, three daughters, one son, and one granddaughter.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. today Wednesday, Nov. 26 at Pierce Brothers Mortuary in Westwood. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations of time or money in Elstad's name to public radio station KCRW.
