Sanders joins Baldwin, Kingsley in 'Confession'

Actor Jay O. Sanders, seen in Paramount's "Kiss the Girls" and TriStar's "JFK," has been cast in the Alec Baldwin-Corin Mann co-production "The Confession," which began shooting last week in Gotham.

"Confession," a murder mystery directed by David Jones, stars Baldwin, Ben Kingsley and Amy Irving. Baldwin plays a power-hungry lawyer, Kingsley is the murder suspect and Sanders is Kingsley's boss, a corrupt tycoon.

Sanders, who has a long history in the theater, on TV and in film, was in Gramercy's "The Matchmaker," directed by Mark Joffe; Bill Dear's Disney release "Angels in the Outfield"; and Paramount's "Tucker," helmed by Francis Ford Coppola. He also will be seen in the upcoming Bubble Factory/Universal movie "For Richer or Poorer," starring Kirstie Alley and Tim Allen and directed by Bryan Spicer.

On TV, Sanders has appeared on "Nothing Sacred," "Lonesome Dove," "Northern Exposure" and "Kate & Allie." His deal for "Confession" was put together by agents Renee Jennett and Kristin Miller at Don Buchwald & Associates.
