Variety taps writer Karon

Paul Karon has joined the editorial staff of Daily Variety as a Los Angeles-based reporter.

A freelance writer for the past several years, Karon wrote frequently about the social impacts of new technology, and has contributed to numerous publications, most recently the Los Angeles Times, New Media Magazine and Men's Fitness Magazine.

At Daily Variety, Karon will cover film and technology.
