Media Access nods accepting entries
Sponsored by the California Governor's Committee for Employment of Disabled Persons, the awards honor members of the entertainment community for employing, as well as improving the image and participation of, people with disabilities.
Categories include Television Movie of the Week/Miniseries; Comedy & Drama Series; Children's Programs for Teen & Pre-Teens; Daytime Dramas (Soaps); TV News Magazines & Specials, Feature & Documentary Films; Public Affairs, Print Advertising and Theater.
Finalists will be announced Nov. 5 and winners will be honored Jan. 28 at the Beverly Hilton hotel.
The eligibility period for the awards is May 1, 1996, to Sept. 15, 1997. Entries must be postmarked by Sept. 22 or be hand-delivered to Media Access Awards, 2554 Lincoln Blvd. #745, Marina del Rey, CA 90291.
