Travolta, Sony make nice

Sony Pictures Entertainment and John Travolta have reached an out-of-court settlement in the lawsuit con-cerning "The Double." Though the case has been continued and not yet dismissed, Travolta and the studio have agreed to find a film project suitable to both parties. All terms of the expected settlement agreement are confiden-tial, but insiders say Travolta will not have to pay the studio or Mandalay Entertainment additional court costs in-curred when the actor bolted from the Paris set after creative differences with director Roman Polanski. The stu-dio previously had demanded a picture plus an undisclosed monetary sum.
