'Rough' to beat: 32.9 mil viewers

The two-night TNT Original miniseries "Rough Riders" delivered a total of 32.9 million unduplicated viewers during its six-play run on TNT, which makes it, according to the network, the most-watched original premiere movie or mini ever to run on basic cable.

With 32.9 million viewers, "Rough Riders" eclipsed the 31.9 unduplicated viewers pulled in by the 1996 Civil War mini "Andersonville" on TNT. In 1994, "Gettysburg" --- which preemed in theaters before its run on TNT --- snared an audience of 36.1 million, making it the most-watched network-produced original movie to run on basic cable.
