Polygram Films taps 2 exex

After a lengthy search, Polygram Films has hired two key sales execs to round out its new U.S. distribution team.

Marty Zeidman and Adam Dishell have been tapped as VP, Western division manager and VP, Southern division manager, respectively.

They join previously announced Eastern and Central division managers Carl Bertolino and Ron Giambra.

All four division veeps report to Lewis O'Neil, who was named VP of distribution and general sales manager last month.

Over the last few months, Polygram approached a number of division managers at rival studios for the important West Coast job.

Zeidman, a well-respected distribution veteran, just completed a one-year contract as VP of exhibitor relations and non-theatrical sales for Sony Pictures Releasing. Before that he was head of distribution for Fine Line Features, which he joined in 1994. Prior to that he was senior exec VP of distribution at Miramax Films.

The move to division manager marks a significant step up for Dishell, who most recently served as district manager for the central division of New Line Distribution.

Polygram Films' first release, the Michael Douglas-Sean Penn Starrer "The Game," is set to bow Sept. 12.
