Holyfield-Moorer on PPV

In his first bout since a portion of his ear was bitten off by Mike Tyson in a June 28 title fight, WBA heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield will square off for the second time against IBF heavyweight champ Michael Moorer in a pay-per-view title fight Nov. 8 at the Mirage Resort in Las Vegas.

Showtime Event TV (SET) will distribute the fight on PPV but has yet to establish a suggested retail rate. Fight card is expected to be priced at about $39.95, or $10 cheaper than the $49.95 for Tyson-Holyfield II. Fight will also be available at closed-circuit locations.

Moorer won a 12-round unanimous decision in his first fight with Holyfield on April 22, 1994, becoming the first southpaw to win the title.

Despite Tyson's third-round disqualification in the June fight with Holyfield, the bout set a record for PPV coin by taking in more than $100 million on just over 2 million buys.
