Spector to head THX marketing

The THX sound-reinforcement and -refinement division of Lucasfilm Ltd. has tapped Marc Spector its director of marketing, heading up worldwide marketing efforts for all four of the division's distinct businesses.

Based at Lucasfilm's headquarters in San Rafael, Calif., and reporting to THX division topper Monica Dashwood, Spector will supervise marketing and communications for THX's Theatre Program, Theatre Alignment Program, Digital Mastering Program and its flourishing home-electronics program.

Spector comes to THX from speaker manufacturer JBL's professional division, where he was senior director of marketing for nearly four years. He also worked for several years at consumer electronics kingpin Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc.
