Fox TV party's full of 'Hope St.'
The atmosphere was informal despite the Beverly Hills setting, with Fox Entertainment Group prexy Peter Roth joking and laughing with cast members and colleagues. Roth said a few words before the lights went down, explaining the origins of the show, which is based on a New York City teen crisis center called the Door. Show creator and executive producer Damon Wayans, well-known for his comedic performances, also gave a laundry list of thanks. Kudos went to series star Shari Headley as well as film veteran Richard Roundtree, who plays the founder of the facility for at-risk youth.
Turnout included a slew of television up-and-comers as well as fellow thesps and family members Kim, Shawn and Keenen Ivory Wayans.
