Sundance sesh goes into 'Tunnel'

The Sundance Institute is holding a screenplay reading of Josh Kornbluth's "Haiku Tunnel" Monday 22 at 7:30 p.m at L.A.'s Jazz Bakery. Presented in association with Aviator Films, the event is the fourth in a series of Sundance script readings that take place bi-monthly in Los Angeles and New York.

"Haiku Tunnel" is a comedy about a male secretary who is a great "temp," but terrible "perm."

Kornbluth made his debut with the stage show "Josh Kornbluth's Daily World" in 1989 and has since appeared Off-Broadway in "Red Diaper Baby," for which he was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for solo performance. He made his film debut in "Searching for Bobby Fischer."

He worked on "Haiku Tunnel" and a film version of "Red Diaper Baby" at the 1994 Sundance Institute Screenwriter's Lab.

"The Sundance reading series honors and supports the screenwriting process by giving writers the unique opportunity of hearing their work read aloud by an ensemble of professional actors," said Michelle Satter, Feature Film Director of the Institute.
