Chinese pix in showcase

A series of recent films from China will be presented Thursday and Friday at the Charles Aidikoff Theatre in Beverly Hills.

Sponsored by the Motion Picture Assn. of America, Bank of China, Peter Buttenwieser and Victoria Cruises, the program of seven films includes dramatic, documentary and animated work, reflecting the range of contemporary Chinese cinema.

Friday evening's presentation of "My Daddy," the story of a terminally ill boy befriended by a pro soccer player, will be introduced by a delegation from China Film.
