Harold Fuhrman

Harold Fuhrman, set designer, died Aug. 12 in Los Angeles of a stroke.

His age was not reported.

Born in Kentucky, Fuhrman came to Hollywood in 1937 and joined 20th Century Fox. His early film credits include "The African Queen,""Cleopatra" and "Mary Poppins." More recent films include "Blaze,""Cocoon,""Backdraft,""Toys,""Clean Slate""Free Willy" and the just-completed "My Girl II."

His television credits include "Medical Center" and "MASH."

Survived by his wife, Norma; son, Mike; stepchildren, Kathleen and Richard; and 9 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Aug. 29 at 7 p.m. at the UCLA Faculty Center, California Room, 405 Hilgard, Los Angeles.
