'Price' may be right for weatherman Kriski

"KTLA Morning News" weatherman Mark Kriski is reportedly one of two finalists to host the new syndicated version of Paramount's "The Price Is Right."

The decision is said to have come down to Kriski and soap actor Doug Davidson , who appears on "The Young and the Restless."

Both prospective hosts have completed pilots and a decision could come soon.

A Par spokesman declined comment.

KTLA, meanwhile, has decided to use all four "Morning News" regulars -- Carlos Amezcua, Barbara Beck, entertainment reporter Sam Rubin and Kriski -- to host its new 9-10 a.m. entertainment/talkshow.

Originally, the program was only to feature Beck and Rubin, but that format was scrapped at the last minute before it was scheduled to hit the air in July. The new show is scheduled to premiere by mid-September.
