Lenard Pearlman

Lenard Pearlman, 42, former audio engineer and later president of Editel, a major audio/video post-production house in Chicago, died July 7 in Houston of leukemia.

Pearlman, who began his career in the audio department of Editel, rose to the position of general manager and finally president of that company before striking out on his own and establishing his own audio consulting company.

His most recent projects include the redesign of Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Studios in Chicago. He served as president of SPARS (The Society of Professional Audio Recording Services) 1985-1986 and chairman of the board of that organization 1986-87. Survived by his wife, Carol, a son and daughter.
