Todd-AO Corp., the San Francisco-based sound facility, posted a net income of $ 489,000 (6 cents) in the third fiscal quarter, a 16% drop from the same period last year.

Revenues were up, however, 8% to $ 7.2 million, from $ 6.7 million for the comparable quarter.

Scripps Howard Broadcasting Co. posted net income of $ 12.6 million ($ 1.23 a share), for the first fiscal quarter ended June 30, vs. a profit of $ 11 million ($ 1.07) for the comparable period. Revenues were up 5% to $ 107 million, from $ 102 million last year.
