Townshend plays La Jolla

On the heels of the multiple Tony wins for "The Who's Tommy," composer Pete Townshend and the La Jolla Playhouse are back together again.

Townshend will perform a one-night concert Aug. 4 titled "'Psychoderelict' Unplugged," which will feature material from his newly released album "Psychoderelict" on Atlantic. Proceeds from the event, which will be held in the 500-seat Mandell Weiss Theatre, will benefit the Playhouse.
