Par to distribute Torchlight vid titles

Paramount Home Video will exclusively distribute titles produced by Torchlight, the new Full Moon Entertainment label created to produce R-rated erotic fantasy films.

Under terms of the deal, Paramount Home Video will market and distribute up to six Torchlight titles in the U.S. and Canada. The association between Paramount and Full Moon is in addition to the other homevideo labels that Par currently distributes -- Full Moon and Moonbeam.

The deal is seen as a move to provide audiences with an alternative to the erotic-thriller genre, in that the adult-oriented Torchlight films will contain no violence. The release schedule for the six titles will be announced at a later date.
