Florida fills film orgs' posts

Florida's bid to increase film and television production picked up steam Thursday with the appointment of 12 people to support the industry and seven executives to the Florida Film and Television Investment Board.

Among the appointees to the 12-member entertainment support organization were director Robert M. Allen, Polk County commissioner Mona Rowand-May, attorney Randall W. Lord and Universal Studios VP Norman R. Rice.

Among the seven appointees to the Florida Film and Television Board, which is responsible for providing investment incentives to filmmakers, are former Intl. Film Guarantors president Tekla Morgan, Universal City Studios senior VP Dan Slusser and Columbia Pictures senior VP of business affairs Darrell Walker.
