Par TV taps Cardoso as media veep

Trisha Cardoso has joined the Paramount Television Group in the newly created position of VP, media relations.

As reported, Cardoso will report to just-promoted senior VP of media relations John Wentworthand coordinate publicity for the group's network and domestic TV divisions (Daily Variety, June 8).

Cardoso was most recently VP of entertainment marketing at Burson-Marsteller, overseeing publicity for a number of Paramount shows, including "Cheers,""The Arsenio Hall Show,""Bob" and "Wings." She joined the public relations firm in 1991 when it acquired Mahoney Communications, where Cardoso spent the prior three years.
