'Sliver' among 8 new Rs

Eight of 11 new films grabbed R ratings, including Paramount's "Sliver," which reportedly underwent reshoots and editing to avoid an NC-17. According to the 1,268th bulletin from the Classification & Rating Administration of the Motion Picture Assn. of America, Warner Bros.'

"Dennis the Menace" garnered a PG for "comedic mischief."
