Fox pairs 'Robin,' 'Rising'

Twentieth Century Fox will release "Robin Hood: Men in Tights" and "Rising Sun" back-to-back this summer, with opening dates skedded for July 28 and July 30, respectively, according to exhibition sources.

Fox exex toyed with moving up the release date for "Rising Sun" to April, then decided to stick to the July release to let Philip Kaufman apply finishing touches.

"Robin Hood," the Mel Brooks comedy originally scheduled for an Aug. 13 release, on Thursday was pushed up as the studio jostled a large slate of summer films.
