Rank says profits up

Rank Organisation PLC said profits were marginally higher from its year-end Oct. 31 to mid-April.

Rank, which owns Deluxe Labs, told financial analysts at a meeting that results from U.K. businesses were mixed. The North American market is improving, but other markets remain difficult, Rank said.

Rank's Odeon Cinemas attracted more viewers than last year, with admissions increasing 10%.
