Turner Broadcasting System said it has filed a shelf registration statement with the Securities & Exchange Commission covering the offer and sale, on a delayed and continuous basis, of up to $ 1.1 billion of its senior and senior subordinated debt securities.

Net proceeds will be used to reduce outstanding borrowings and for general purposes.

T-HQ Inc. of Calabasas concluded negotiations with MCA/Universal Merchandising Inc. for a four-year licensing agreement to develop vidgames for Nintendo and Sega formats based on the upcoming television series "SeaQuest DSV." The Universal TV and Amblin TV series, about a submarine and its multinational crew, preems on NBC this fall. The first products should be ready in the first six months of 1994.
