United Artists Theatre Circuit announced that William J. Quigley has been named senior VP of marketing, bringing the former Vestron Pictures president to the largest exhibition circuit in the United States. Quigley will relocate from the East Coast to Denver, where the 2,300-screen UA circuit is based.

Universal Family Entertainment/Universal Cartoon studios announced three promotions in business affairs: John Angier, to VP of business affairs and legal affairs; Kelly Sullivan, to administration director, coordinating administrative affairs for development projects and productions; John Leonhardt, to director of business development. He will also be involved in analysis of co-production opportunities and management of creative properties.

Sadie N. Decker has been named to the new post of VP of advanced computing systems at TCI Technology, a unit of Tele-Communications Inc. She will be responsible for all of TCI's computer services and the development and operation of services for its two-way broadband network.

Catherine Pomponio has been named supervising producer of "The Joan Rivers Show." The producer-director has been based on the West Coast for more than a decade, the past eight years in a number of key production positions for a number of talkshows. She most recently served as the pilot producer for Group W's "Vicki!"
