Gaston Bitar has been hired by Samuel Goldwyn Co. as manager of human resources and administration. Joining Goldwyn from Hollywood-based Video Research Corp., Bitar will be responsible for day-to-day management of human resources, administration of employee benefits and management of facilities and administrative staff.

David Ferguson has been named director of co-productions at Nelvana Enterprises Ltd. in the U.K. Ferguson, who was previously head of TV sales at the BBC in London, will focus on finding financial partners in the U.S., Germany and the Far East, while Emmanuele Petry will continue to head Nelvana's Paris office.

Jeff Salmon is new VP/director of production for Dick Clark Corporate Prods. He served in a similar post for Jack Morton Prods.

Paul Chambers has been upped to VP, credit administration for FoxVideo. Chambers, who has been the director of the company's credit administration since 1989, joined CBS/Fox Video in 1983 as credit manager for North American operations.
