Boos for the best pic and a lack of Mexican films were two of the bigger anomalies at the 33rd Cartagena Intl.
Film Fest (March 5-12). The public showed its displeasure over the choice of Cuba's entry "Mascar, El Cazador Americano" (Mascar, Hunter of the Americas), by Constante Diego, as top pic by booing the official announcement. While Mexico usually maintains a high profile at the annual film market, this year its only entry, "Like Water for Chocolate," was submitted by its Colombian distrib.
