Oscar watch

Making her first Oscarcast appearance, Sheila E. will accompany third-timer Placido Domingo in performing best song nominee "Beautiful Maria of My Soul" from "The Mambo Kings," music by Robert Kraft and lyrics by Arne Glimcher. The 65th Annual Academy Awards, produced by Gil Cates and directed by Jeff Margolis, takes place a week from tonight starting at 6 o'clock at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.
