The Hollywood Radio and Television Society will give the industry a look at its future Tuesday with an exhibition of new broadcast technologies built around its monthly newsmaker luncheon.
The "Futures in Media" event will include exhibition hours by various international distributors at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel before and after the noon lunch.
Disney Studios president Richard Frank will moderate a panel that will include experts in areas such as interactive media, advanced television, computer graphics, personal digital devices and other innovations demonstrating applications of their particular specialty.
Panelists will be Bob Lambert, vice president of new technology at the Walt Disney Studios; David Bagshaw, Silicon Graphics; Ken Wirt, Apple Computer's Personal Interactive Electronics division; Bob Abel, Synapse Technologies; and Harry Marks, AFI/Apple Computer Center.
