Another round of early negotiations between the Directors Guild of America and the producers has made no progress toward an agreement.
Both sides met from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. yesterday, with the various committees coming together for several joint sessions, but to no avail.
"There continued to be too many differences to reach an early agreement at this point," said DGA spokesman Chuck Warn.
The DGA and the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers are due to go back to the bargaining table Feb. 17 at 2 p.m.
This attempt to come up with an early agreement is to stave off any work slowdowns in the industry, which usually occur with a strike threat looming.
The current contract does not expire until June 30.
