Triumph taps Cameron VP, branch admin
Cameron, who was formerly Triumph's director of branch operations since March 1988, will oversee day-to-day administrative activities of the company's nine sales branches in the United States and Canada.
Cameron's area of responsibility includes preparation of budgets, administration of the checking program for verification of box office receipts, personnel and leases. In addition, he will work closely with business affairs in union negotiations.
"With Al as the administrative head of our sales offices, the business of running these operations has been seamless," Triumph president David Saunders said in a statement. "He is greatly deserving of this new title."
In 1966, Cameron joined Columbia Pictures, Triumph's sister company, in New York as an accountant in 1966.
Cameron became supervisor of Columbia's payroll department and then office manager in 1967.
He was named assistant manager of accounts receivable in 1969 and the following year, was promoted to manager of that department.
In 1971, he became associate manager of sales accounting and held that position until he was named manager of branch operations in 1977.
Cameron was Columbia Pictures' director of branch operations from 1984-88.
