A native of Idaho Falls, Foreman served in the Navy in World War II and taught at Stevens College. Prior to becoming a producer, Foreman co-founded Creative Management Agency, which later became ICM. Earlier he worked for MCA and the Rogers & Cowan praisery.
In 1968, Foreman and Paul Newman formed production company Newman-Foreman Co. In 1982, he became VP in charge of worldwide theatrical production for MGM/UA.
Among Foreman's many productions were "The Man Who Would Be King,""The Great Train Robbery,""The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds,""The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean,""Sometimes a Great Notion" and "The Macintosh Man."
Foreman is survived by his wife, Linda, two daughters and two sisters. A memorial service will be held tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. at Westwood Village Mortuary, 1218 Glendon Ave., Westwood.
In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to the Tree People.
