'Showbiz Today' sets 'Heavyweight' feature

CNN's "Showbiz Today" will launch "Hollywood Heavyweights," a weekly segment discussing the major players, issues and events in Hollywood.

Senior entertainment correspondent Jim Moret handles the first installment today, featuring an interview with David Geffen. Others who have been interviewed for future telecasts are Norman Lear and Jeffrey Katzenberg.

According to a show spokeswoman, "Showbiz" wants to take a hard news approach to the business, and the Wednesday "Heavyweight" segments are one step in that direction.
