Blakely new Newsnet correspondent

CBS News general assignment reporter Regina Blakely has been named the CBS Newsnet correspondent in Washington, D.C.

Blakely will be based in the network's D.C. offices and report on various topics.

Newsnet is the network's affiliate news service.

Blakely is likely to be around familiar faces in the nation's capital. Prior to joining CBS in November 1991, she was a political reporter for KATV-TV in Little Rock, Ark., home of President-elect Bill Clinton.
