HBO dominated the two major television categories with wins for “The Sopranos” in the hourlong series category and “Curb Your Enthusiasm” for half-hour.
“Cops,” which is in its 18th year on the air, nabbed the Eddie for nonscripted reality series -- beating primetime powerhouse “Dancing With the Stars.”
Michael Moore, who presented the Eddie for feature film (comedy or musical), saw his “Sicko” editors Geoffrey Richman, Chris Seward and Dan Swietlik take home honors in the documentary category.
Other winning programs included HBO’s “PU-239,” NBC’s “Chuck” and TNT’s “The Company.”
Carl Reiner delivered a memorable monologue before presenting director Norman Jewison with ACE’s highest honor -- the filmmaker of the year award. Veteran editors Millie Moore and Bud Smith were also recognized with career achievement awards.
