NBC orders more 'Gladiators'

Revival had highest ratings of any new show

After just two original broadcasts, NBC has decided to order up another season of its "American Gladiators" revival.

New take on "Gladiators" bowed to the second-highest ratings of any new series this season, behind only Fox's "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles." Peacock skein averaged a 5.9/14 among adults 18-49 and 12 million viewers overall; it also did very well in its regular Monday night slot last week.

The Peacock isn't saying how many extra episodes of "Gladiators" it has ordered or when the second season of the show will air. First season is slated to wrap in mid-February.

"Gladiators" comes from MGM Television and Reveille. Mark Koops, Howard Owens, David Hurwitz and Johnny Ferraro are exec producers.
